If your cruise with MSC was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, MSC Cruises has provided you with a Special Covid Cruise Credit Voucher and Onboard Credit as compensation.
The Special Covid Cruise Credit Voucher has been issued within one month from the official communication of the cruise cancellation by MSC Cruises with a value equal to the amount you paid for the cancelled cruise, minus any refunds you may have received.
This voucher allows you to reschedule your future cruise, choosing any departure, destination, and ship, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions specified in the voucher.
If you have a confirmed booking but have not made any payment, you have received a voucher equal to the value of the onboard credit granted as compensation for the cancelled cruise. However, since no payment has been received from MSC, no future cruise credit will be shown in this case.
For redeeming the voucher, you have 2 options:
- If you booked directly with MSC through our Contact Centre or through our consumer website, please call our Contact Centre.
- If you booked through a travel agency, please get in touch directly with your travel agent. Be ready to provide your initial booking number as well as the new cruise date you’ve chosen.
Additionally, as a compensation for the cancelled cruise, you have received an onboard credit that can be spent for onboard shopping. This credit is refundable and valid throughout the year, it can only be used once you embark on your new cruise and is not eligible to purchase pre-paid items through the MSC websites or travel agents before the new cruise. If you do not completely make use of the onboard credit, any remaining amount will be reimbursed at the conclusion of the new cruise.
Guests booked in single cabins has received 50% of the standard onboard credit, based on the duration of their cruise.
For pre-cruise items that were purchased but have been cancelled due to cruise cancellation (such as shore excursions, spa treatments, drink packages, etc.), if you booked them directly through the MSC website or contact center, the amount paid with a credit card has been refunded to the original form of payment. The refunded amounts are not included in the Future Cruise voucher. However, exceptions may apply depending on the country.
If you made the booking through a Travel Agency, you should contact your travel agent for assistance.
The compensation packages offered by MSC Cruises apply only to cruises that were cancelled by MSC Cruises in relation to the global COVID-19 situation.

Terms & Conditions
- It can be combined with any promotions.
- It is non-extendable.
- It cannot be transferred to persons other than those who have originally booked a cruise cancelled by MSC Cruise due to Covid-19 pandemic.
- Voucher related to groups have been issued and sent to the travel agencyThe Future Cruise credit can be redeemed only once.
- Flight and transfers are included as part of the Future Cruise credit, if booked through MSC Cruises. For example, if the cruise fare is USD/€500, and the flight is USD/€300 and transfer USD/€100 guests will receive total Future Cruise credit of USD/€900. For flights and transfers booked independently from MSC Cruises, this must be checked directly with the relevant service provider.
- If the future booking is of higher value than the original one, you will have to pay the difference. If the future booking is of less value than the original one, you will have the opportunity to add-on packages to your future cruise (beverage packages, excursions, etc…) and leverage the voucher value for such usage up until it is fully spent
